About the event
Post-traumatic growth occurs for some clients, as they may ‘transcend’ the horrors they have experienced. This does not take anything away from the trauma, but it does have the ability to change a sense of meaning. We will look at the neurobiology, as well as the self-actualising tendency. We will explore the 5 dimensions of post-traumatic growth, whilst practicing with skills such as self-compassion techniques.
This CPD Training is £135 for professionals (£121.50 for NCPS Registered Members), or £95 for counselling students level 2-4.

Post-traumatic growth occurs for some clients, as they may ‘transcend’ the horrors they have experienced. This does not take anything away from the trauma, but it does have the ability to change a sense of meaning. We will look at the neurobiology, as well as the self-actualising tendency. You will gain some knowledge about Trauma-Focused CBT and practice accompanying skills of titration and pendulation. We will also work with negative thoughts, shame, guilt and self-blame.
