We know you might have some questions!

Here's the answers to our most commonly asked.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • You can choose to attend any of the 10 training days as CPD (Continual Professional Development), which comes with a Certificate of Attendance. You can also choose to attend all 10 training days for the Foundation Diploma. To qualify for the Foundation Diploma you also will be required to complete 10 pieces of homework (one per training day) and a case-study at the end.

  • Every training day comes with one piece of homework. This usually entails writing a reflective piece between 250 and 750 words around two specific learning objectives. Most of the time we will have covered those learning objectives during the training. The purpose of the exercise is to see if you understood what we covered that day. At the end of 10 training days you will be asked to complete a case-study between 2500 – 3000 words, where you will put in practice with a client (fully anonymised) some of the trauma work you have learned.

  • You have two years to complete all 10 training days. If you therefore can’t make one or more of the training days, you can retake them in a future training. We would however strongly recommend starting with training day one, as it builds the foundation for the other 9 training days.

  • Experiential training means that you will be invited to actively participate in the various assignments of the training. This may include role-plays, worksheets, Q&A, working with an actress and whole or small group discussions. However, it is equally important that you as a participant keep yourself emotionally safe. This means that you always have the option to ‘opt out’ of any exercise, when you feel it may be dysregulating for you in that moment.

  • Coffee, tea and snacks will be provided for the face-to-face trainings. Lunch is not included in this training. Feel free to bring your own lunch, or you can get some lunch from shops nearby the training venue.

  • All online trainings take place on Zoom. You will be send a Zoom invite the day before the training takes place. You would need a good computer to access the online room, a good-working camera and sound system.

  • Each training day will run from 9.30am until 4.30pm. We ask that you arrive at the venue at 9.15am, so we can start on time at 9.30am. For online trainings we ask that you login on Zoom at 9.20am, so we can start on time. We will have two tea breaks of about 10-15 minutes during the day: One in the morning and one in the afternoon. We will also have a lunch break of about 45 minutes around 12.30pm.

  • Yes, the training is fully accessible from any country. The same training requirements apply from any country. Please be mindful of the time difference, as the start and end time of each training day are UK-times.
